Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Infrastructure and Public Realm Improvements Plan along the Downtown Waterfront

The Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) in partnership with the City of Buffalo has released Request for Proposals (RFP) for an Infrastructure and Public Realm Improvements Plan along the Downtown Waterfront. The RFP released on August 16, 2022, has a deadline to respond on September 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. BUDC will host a pre-proposal meeting on September 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom.
Proposals are being solicited are for a planning-level feasibility and conceptual design study from planning, engineering, and landscape architecture consulting firms for infrastructure and public realm improvements along Buffalo’s Downtown waterfront to Ralph Wilson Park. The goal is to produce a master plan to improve connectivity, attractiveness, investment, and the overall quality of life for employees, residents and visitors.
This project is funded through Empire State Development with contributions from BUDC and the City of Buffalo. The project will be managed by BUDC and the City of Buffalo’s Office of Strategic Planning.
